PM Nawaz chairs high-level civil-militry meeting on security issues

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif chaired a high-level meeting in Islamabad on Monday discussed security and overall law and order situation in the country.

The meeting reviewed overall security situation with particular reference to the terrorist attack on Badaber PAF Camp and sharing of evidences with Afghanistan in this regard.

Pakistan maintains that the attackers of Badaber had come from Afghanistan and the attack was planned and coordinated from the neighbouring country.

The meeting also discussed border management strategy and implementation of National Action Plan on terrorism.

The meeting was attended by Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Ch. Nisar Ali Khan, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, DG ISPR Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa, DG MO Major General Aamir Riaz, DG MI Major General Nadeem Zaki.

Implementation of National Action Plan (NAP) against terrorists was also discussed in the high-level meeting, sources said
