KARACHI – Law enforcement agencies on Monday foiled a terrorist plan to target Karachi and busted a group for its alleged links with Daesh.
The forces carried out a raid on credible information and arrested five persons, including a professor of University of Engineering and Technology Lahore, a woman and three other suspects.
The culprits were arrested for allegedly having links with members of Daesh, a terrorist outfit in Syria and Iraq. The identities of the arrested have not been disclosed so far.
The detainees were planning to carry out targeted bomb attacks on different ceremonies through unmanned drones.
