India gives final verdict on Saba Qamar s Hindi Medium , says she is Pakistan s finest export

Saba Qamar has won hearts in India with her brilliant dialogue delivery and screen performance in the much-anticipated flick Hindi Medium.

While Irrfan Khan sets the bar when it comes to delivering hit after hit, Qamar has proven herself no less of a versatile actor able to mold herself into any role possible. Also when we heard the news of her starring opposite the iconic Irrfan Khan, fans were convinced without a shadow of doubt that she would not be overshadowed by the actor.

Amongst the rising toll of reviews given by various publications in India, there are a few that make us proud.

Firstpost claims, “Qamar is a beauty. Between her and Fawad Khan, they might convince Hindi film audiences that Pakistan has cornered a majority share of the world’s hotness. Though her character is often hyper, her acting never is – that is a fine line to tread, and she pulls it off.”

Pinkvilla was kind enough to bewail tensions between the two countries for not getting Qamar on screen enough. “Whoever found Saba Qamar, take a bow!”

Venturing the story of a couple (Irrfan and Qamar) in their tireless efforts to get their daughter admitted in the best possible school, the film focuses on the peculiar obsession in our part of the world which sees English Language as the basic ticket to success.

Hindustan Times describes the Pakistani actress as “equally effective and funny as a wife who keeps saying ‘stand hou jao’ and ‘lonely and depressed'”.

“Saba Qamar is Pakistan’s finest export so far, and excels as the Chandni Chowk girl with social climbing aspirations,” according to India today. Hindi Medium has definitely done for Saba what Kapoor and Sons did for Fawad and is worth the treat.

Currently, back at her home ground, Saba is all set to star in a biopic on the late Pakistani social media celebrity Qandeel Baloch who had her life taken away in a case of honor killing. Saba is already flooded with a lot of praise for the upcoming TV series.
