RAWALPINDI (Staff Report) – Chief of Army Staff General (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Thursday visited the forward locations on the Line of Control (LoC) and met soldiers deployed at the front lines.
According to a statement of Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), the COAS wished Eid Mubarak in advance to officers and troops. He commended their high state of morale, professionalism and valiance while defending the motherland and giving a befitting response to Indian unprovoked firing.
Speaking on the occasion General Raheel Sharif went on to say that India’s continuous ceasefire violations along LoC and working boundary are an unsuccessful attempt to distract Pakistan from the fight against terrorism.
He added that Pakistan Army is a battle hardened Army which has successfully handled two different kinds of war and is capable of defending every inch of the motherland.
The army chief also expressed solidarity with civilians living near to LoC. He appreciated the sacrifices made by civilians against Indian aggression saying that Pakistan army will take all necessary steps to compensate the losses caused by unprovoked Indian firing.
