LAHORE – On Tuesday the Lahore High Court (LHC) strictly ordered information ministry to remove blasphemous content from social media within a period of four months.
Justice Athar Mahmood heard the case during which the petitioner told the court that profane material has not been removed from the social media despite court’s directives. He said not abiding by the court’s directives means contempt of court while demanding removal of such sacrilegious content immediately.
The court directed the concerned authorities including home and information ministries to submit a report and delete the blasphemous material in four months.
