LONDON (Web Desk) – Nobel Peace Prize laureate Aung San Suu Kyi lost her composure during BBC interview and was heard to mutter angrily off-air: ‘No one told me I was going to be interviewed by a Muslim’.
According to Daily Mail, Aung San Suu Kyi lost her cool when BBC presenter Mishal Husain asked some tough questions about Myanmar’s treatment of its Rohingya muslim minority. When she was repeatedly asked by Husain to condemn Rohingya genocide in Myanmar, she declined to do so. ‘I think there are many, many Buddhists who have also left the country for various reasons,’ she replied. ‘This is a result of our sufferings under a dictatorial regime.’

Muslims are only 4 per cent of Burma’s population. The Rohingya Muslims have been facing unprecedented ethnic cleansing at the hands of the violent Burmese Buddhist mobs. According to the International State Crime Initiative (ISCI) at the Queen Mary University of London, the Rohingya face the final stages of genocide that is happening under government supervision.
The Rohingya are explicitly forbidden from becoming citizens of Myanmar and have no political weight whatsoever.
Apparently, the Nobel Peace Prize winner does not want to call a genocide a genocide because she not want to alienate her violent Buddhist supporters.
