Rangers arrest MQM s target killer in Karachi

KARACHI (Staff Report) – Sindh Rangers have arrested an alleged target killer for involvement in murders of policemen and several political activists in a raid in Karachi’s Surjani Town area.

The target killer, Mohammad Rehan Hussain alias Bihari, is an Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) associate and have been incharge of party’s Surjani Town sector.

According to Rangers spokesman the accused was arrested in raid on Friday night and he has confessed to heading a gang of target killers in initial interrogation. The culprit was further involved in sheltering criminals, providing weapons to his fellow workers, kidnapping for ransom and snatching hides of sacrificial hides.

Following the arrest the suspect was presented before the Karachi Central judicial magistrate, who sent him into Rangers custody on transit remand until September 28.

He will be produced in the anti-terrorism court after Eid holidays, said the rangers spokesman.
