Imran Khan lands in Lahore for PTI’s power show at Minar-e-Pakistan

LAHORE – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan reached Lahore, the country’s political centre, as his party is set to hold a massive show at Minar-e-Pakistan ahead of next general elections.

Khan, who reached the Punjab capital with third wife Bushra Maneka, has directed the party workers from other areas of the country to arrive in the city till the evening.

He will reach Minar-e-Pakistan at 9pm and will attend party concert ahead of the public rally scheduled for Sunday.

Party sources say Imran Khan will unveil his first 100-day strategy after “winning the upcoming general election.”

Famous Pakistani singers including Attaullah Esakhelvi, Strings, Ibrar-ul-Haq and others will perform in the concert. A firework show will also be held on the arrival of Imran Khan at the venue.

All the preparations for the rally have been completed as a 120 feet long and 60 feet wide stage is set for the party leadership.

More than 50, 000 chairs are placed in the arena which also has been decorated with party flexes, banners, and flags.

Earlier on Friday, PTI workers took out a rally from Nasir Bagh Lahore. Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak also reached Lahore to attend the April 29 public meeting.

PTI Central Punjab President Abdul Aleem Khan has underscored that as the country has reached at political crossroads, it has become inevitable to lay the foundation of a new Pakistan. “All patriotic Pakistanis will play their role and support Imran Khan and his party to bring change in the country. The party believes in ‘Do Nahi Aik Pakistan – Hum Sub Ka Naya Pakistan’, which is the new slogan of PTI for upcoming general election.”
