ISLAMABAD – Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan on Tuesday said that the ministry was verifying every application carefully before issuing visas to people, including diplomats.
Nisar stated this while addressing a press conference, adding that agents of foreign intelligence agencies cannot come into Pakistan in the guise of diplomatic assignments.
Years ago, people used to travel to Pakistan on fake documents or with invalid visa, he said, adding that this will not happen anymore.
He reiterated that no one can enter the country without a proper visa; and if they do, they are repatriated immediately and the airline they are travelling on was penalised heavily.
Pakistan will soon receive online visa applications in order to keep their record in a central database.
The centralisation process will start as soon as the Prime Minister House, he added.
