Operation Radd ul Fassad: Two ISIS suspects arrested in Sialkot

SIALKOT – On Tuesday the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed to have arrested two suspected Daesh terrorists in a crackdown in Sialkot city of Punjab.

According to a CTD spokesperson, the terror suspects were planning a terror assault on law enforcement agencies but the prompt action foiled their nefarious plans.

‘A large amount of explosives and electronic devices were also recovered from the suspects’ the spokesperson informed.

Police have registered a case against the suspects and investigations have been launched to apprehend more members of network, if any.

In 2015 CTD also claimed to have busted ISIS cell in the same Sialkot city where the operatives were allegedly planning to oust democracy for establishment of Khilafat in the country.

Operation Radd Ul Fassad launched by the armed forces after a recent string of terror attacks is underway with full pace across the country. Top civil-military leadership has reaffirmed taking the operation to its logical end.

Law enforcement officials are on the hunt for suspects and militants across the country and especially in big cities. Pakistan has intensified its operations near the border area of Afghanistan.
