SHOPIAN – Indian-Occupied Jammu & Kashmir police have registered an FIR against personnel of Indian Army for the killing of two Kashmiris youths in Shopian district of the valley.
The two civilians identified as Javid Bhat and Suhail Lone were martyred after the army opened fire on protesters on Saturday in Ganaupora village. Another person also sustained bullet injuries and is in a critical state at a hospital.
According to Hindustan Times, a senior police officer confirmed that an FIR 26/2018 was filed at the Shopian police station against the army’s 10th Garhwal unit. “The charges under sections 302, 307 and 336 are pressed,” the officer said.
