JUI-F workers nabbed publishing fake ballot papers in Charsada

PESHAWAR (Staff Report) – Khyber Pakhtukhwa Police on Friday nabbed a cache of fake ballot papers from a private printing press in Charsada, a day ahead of polling of local bodies elections in the province.

The police recovered fake ballot papers from a private printing press at Tangi road where Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam Fazal-ure-Rehman group (JUI-F) District Council candidate Mufti Saeed was also present, according to the details. The candidate along with other four party workers was taken into custody.

The fake ballot papers were expected to be used during the polling of local bodies election on Saturday, said police officials.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is scheduled to hold local bodies elections polling on Saturday and high level security arrangements have been made throughout the province for peaceful conduct of the balloting.
