PESHAWAR (Web Desk) – Polling for local bodies elections is suffering due to clashes between PTI, Independent candidates and mismanagement by polling staff, local media reported on Saturday.
As per media reports, PTI supporters and independent candidates clashed at various polling stations in areas of Peshawar, Mardan, Malakand, Swat and Nowshera districts.
It is also reported that women are barred from entering the polling stations to cast their votes.
“Women belonging to PTI are only being allowed to enter the polling stations,” a lady worker of PPP alleged.
Earlier, ECP formed several vigilant teams to make sure that women are not stopped from their right of casting votes in the elections.
Polling could not be started on time at various polling stations.
Wrong voting symbols have also been printed on several ballot papers which added to the suffering and misery of the contestants.
