DUBAI – Haris Sohail and Babar Azam smashed centuries as Pakistan declared on 418 in the second Test against New Zealand at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
Sohail, returned to pavilion after scoring 147 runs, while Babar Azam was unbeaten 127 after completing his maiden century in 17 Test matches.

Their unbroken 100-run partnership for the fifth wicket come in 224 balls.
For Haris, this was his second hundred in Dubai after he made 110 against Australia here last month.

On Sunday, Haris survived some nervous moments on 99 before taking single off Ish Sodhi to complete the memorable hundred off 309 balls.
Haris and Azhar Ali (81, 187 balls, 7 fours, 1 six) rescued Pakistan on the opening day with their 126-run partnership for the third wicket after Pakistan had lost two early wickets.

New Zealand lead the three-match series 1-0 after their stunning four-run win in the first Test at Abu Dhabi.
