ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s star bowler Yasir Shah called on Prime Minister Imran Khan, weeks after equalling the legendary cricketer’s bowling record in the United Arab Emirates.
The 32-year-old leg-spinner met the cricketer-turned-politician at his Banigala residence in Islamabad over the weekend.
Shah not only became the fastest cricketer to take 200 Test wickets earlier this month – breaking an 82-year-old record – but with final figures of 14/184 against New Zealand in the final Test in Dubai, he also got the second best match return ever for Pakistan in Test cricket, bettered only by PM Imran Khan, who took 14/116 against Sri Lanka in Lahore in 1982.
