LAHORE (Staff Report) – Exciting news for thousands of Humans of New York (HONY) fans – the photo blog’s creator Brandon Stanton will be seen on the streets of Pakistan in August.
Stanton made this announcement on the HONY Facebook page with a picture that appears to be from Pakistan’s northern area.
With over 14 million followers on Facebook, HONY has a huge following in Pakistan as well. Within few hours of the announcement, the post has been liked over 201,000 times and 5,300 people commented, mostly Pakistanis.
The cover photo of HONY Facebook page has also been changed, showing the caption “Humans of Pakistan”.
Last year, Stanton made United Nations-sponsored “world tour” to document the human stories missing from global media. His itinerary included a trip to India. However, he had to drop Pakistan from his list of tours due to visa issues.
