QUETTA – At least 27 people were killed in a fire that erupted after a collision between a coach and an oil tanker in Balochistan’s Hub area on Tuesday.
According to media reports, seven more people of the Lasbella bus crash incident, have scummed to their injuries, raising the death toll to 27.
Earlier, on Monday, at least 20 people were killed when the bus carrying dozens of passengers, heading from Karachi to Panjgur district, crashed with an oil tanker in Lasbela district.
Deputy Commissioner Lasbela Shabbir Mengal, on Monday, confirmed that twenty people were killed in the fire that erupted after the collision between a coach and an oil tanker in Balochistan’s Hub area.
“Sixteen passengers were wounded while they were being taken out of the vehicle, adding that four severely wounded have been shifted to a hospital”, DC Lasbela added.
The bus was leaving for Panjgor from Karachi, he said.
DC Mengal said that the fire has been brought under control.
Earlier police said that the passenger coach caught fire due to the collision and more than 40 people were inside the vehicle at that time.
Rescue officials said that they have started relief activities after the accident.
