KARACHI – Thousands of Karachiites have started arriving at the National Stadium for the first encounter of the Pakistan leg of ongoing Pakistan Super League.
Special arrangements have been put in place to enhance the security and shift the cricket enthusiasts to the stadium from the dedicated parking spots. Roads leading to the stadium have already been blocked.

The spectators are required to show their tickets and original NIC before entering the stadium and must park their vehicles at designated parking places which are the ground near Hakeem Saeed Park and Sunday Bazar adjacent to Baitul Mukarram Masjid.
The stadium goers are not allowed to bring any kind of refreshments to the stadium including the bottles which would be seized. Eatables, drinks, glass/plastic bottles/cans are strictly forbidden to be carried inside the venue.
The ongoing fourth season of the PSL started last month in the United Arab Emirates, however, the last 8 matches are scheduled to be played in Karachi. Initially three encounters were to be hosted by Lahore, however, the matches were shifted to Karachi.
Pakistan’s southern metropolis will witness some of the biggest stars in international cricket including Shane Watson of Australia and Kieron Pollard and Darren Sammy of the West Indies in action over the next nine days.
According to the Inspector General Police Sindh, 7720 East, 2260 South, 565 Special Security Unit (SSU), 1780 Traffic and 788 Special Branch security personnel have been tasked for PSL 4 security and traffic arrangements.
The revival of cricket in Pakistan also excited the former cricketers who took to Twitter to express the delight to be playing among the crowd cheering and jeering after a long time.

First Face Off
Lahore Qalandars would be facing Islamabad United in a do-or-die clash on Saturday as Qalandars would be out of the tournament for a defeat in any of their two matches.
The match- which would be the first one in Pakistan for the ongoing edition – is scheduled to begin at 7 PM.
