KARACHI – Pakistani TV star Mohsin Abbas Haider has recently been in the spotlight for his choice of controversial roles.
Earlier in January, he had shared his battle with mental health on his social media pages about his battle with depression and the Pakistani media industry came out in full support of the Na Maloon Afraad actor by sharing their own life stories.
Mohsin had also posted that “Depression is all set to kill me soon. I just wanted to say thanks to the people who caused it,” Mohsin had posted on his Facebook and Instagram accounts. The star had later removed his post.

Recently, in a touching post, Haider has shared his picture on social account revealing a tattoo of his daughter’s name written on his chest right over the heart that reads #VeenuKayBaba. The expressions on his face show how deeply he has been in love with the late little angel and the tattoo apparently is a tribute to her.

Mohsin Haider’s daughter, Mahveen had passed away because of an illness about a year ago.
Earlier, Mohsin had also took part in a strong message based drama Meri Guriya. The first episode of ‘Meri Guriya’ was aired on television on June 27, 2019. A taboo and sensitive topic has been touched upon as the episode progresses.

It was then that Abbas had shared with the daily publication ‘Express Tribune’ that “Had my daughter not passed away, had I not understood what it meant to be a father and to bear the loss of a child, I would not have understood what it meant to cope with the loss. My baby girl died due to an illness. But to think that someone’s daughter dies in a way that Zainab Ansari from Kasur did, and the way other parents have lost their children to such crimes… I wondered how they [the parents] must have felt. My daughter may have left this world but I am still a father and always will be. Her loss was the reason I did this role.”
