ISLAMABAD – In a tragic incident, at least 9 passengers were left dead when a van rammed into the wall of the toll plaza in Islamabad on Monday.
According to the Motorway Police, the van was carrying 17 passengers and the apparent reason behind the mishap is that the driver lost control due to over speeding.
‘5 injured have been shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS),’ police shared.
The ill-fated van was heading to Rawalpindi from Sargodha.
Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Ahmed Buzdar condoled with the victims and instructed the authorities to provide best medical care to the injured.
