KARACHI (APP) – State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) categorically on Tuesday denied the news item reported in a section of local media including social media regarding SBP plan to issue new banknote of Rs 10,000.
The SBP had no plan whatsoever for issuance of any higher denomination banknote as seven denominations of existing banknotes are adequately meeting the business/transactional needs of the economy, SBP clarification here on Tuesday said.
