How to make your lockdown life beneficial?

Coronavirus has definitely changed the lives of folks around the globe. It has been almost two months since schools, workplaces, markets, eateries, parks and all the places intrinsically connected with life is shut down (closed), except hospitals, pharmacies and food takeaway shops for limited time excess; but nonetheless, people are managing their lives to be normal,of-course as due to lock-down everyone is staying indoors, so many subsiding into whats’s gotten another typical social distancing.

In lieu of eye to eye contact, individuals around the world have grown better approaches to remain associated and still have a great time, even while holding fast to general well being ruled.

For Distraction from the anxiety of being quarantined, people are binge-ing in Netflix, Amazon Prime, Alt Balaji, Youtube and old classics accessing online, and still trying to be creative and positive in this chaotic situation by using Zoom group video chat for educational purposes,— for celebrating birthdays and anniversaries virtually with their loved ones.

As we all wish and crave to do few things which we are reluctant to do, due to our hectic work routine and we leave all those mini desires to leisure time; so now is the time to celebrate yourself, give your this time and willful all your unfulfilled longings which you left on free time.

To get out of this strenuous, disorderly, and back-breaking time a list of things can be done to keep your mind at peace.

1.Start your Journal:

Keep a record of your routine life happenings, you never know, there is a hidden Anne Frank inside you is secretly residing in there but you, yourself not known. The diary of a young girl is the best seller of all times, so start writing, it might turn you into a great writer.

2.Meditation:

Yes, you heard me, meditation is the key to divert arduous times, staying indoors worrying about job, health, and what not?

Meditation can relieve stress, makes you mentally strong, and improve your contentment.

You can simply sit quietly recall you are happy times or listen to natural sounds easily available on youtube, sound cloud, also many applications are there; sounds or rain, fire waterfall, falling of san,d, and wildlife. It certainly works like a miracle or else you can recite Darood-e-Ibrahimi if you are Muslim you must be familiar with that but if not you can google it and its extremely soothing or can follow simple yoga Asanas or follow a new app named “Aura”.

3. Set up a kitchen Garden:

As these days, organic food is trending, not just that but it is good for health to eat organic, one should work on gardening at home plants like mint, green chili, tomatoes, etc can be grown in pots too.

Not only it will add to the kitchen but your gardening skills will increase plus the psychologists often tell people with anxiety to play with earthly things, what else is better than growing a plant, interacting with seeds, soil, water, and sun.

4.Self-Grooming:

we usually do not take care of our skin, hair, and hygiene now is the time to get all the pampering. Its simple home skin tips for instance for fairness; one can slice tomato and apply the pulp to our skin for 15 minutes and rinse it with cold water or can use aloe Vera gel directly to the skin for glow and radiance or can apply ice cubes to our eyelids and under eyes to reduce dark circles or can learn a new hairstyle following any hair tutorial on YouTube.

5.Boost Immune System:

As strong immunity can curb this corona-virus, we can add a few tips and ingredients to boost the immune system. Add kalonji (black onion seeds) to your meals, eat garlic dipped in honey, have citrus enriched fruits. This not only profitable for health but aiding to your knowledge.

6.Recreate your old clothes:

earing all those colorless boring clothes for your work is definitely a NO No… Dye your T-shirts, dupattas at home using natural pigmented sources like if you boil carrot and dip white cloth to it it will turn in to light green color or can make masks from old clothes or redecorate or ornament your clothes with broken bracelets beets, etc.

7.Learn to bake:

I have been good at cooking and baking all through my life but haven’t had enough time for it, but to make my days happy I google my favorite recipes of cakes, cookies, and bread, etc, and bake something new. This is a great skill even my brother’s helped me in the process of baking and I must tell you this that they have better skills and knowledge than any random girl of eastern culture.

8.Organize your dressing table:

As they say “Organizing something makes a person reinvent himself” I would recommend that do arrange your things to an order which is all messy, all that time because you were busy in your work.

9. Go for Walk/Run:

Of course, going out in a lockdown is not a good idea as one should follow this social distancing thing, also we should be active as well so all we can do is if you have a small lawn at your place Great! but if not you can walk or run on your rooftop within your boundaries while abiding by with lockdown.

10. Learn Chess:

“Unlike other games in which lucre is the end and aim (chess) recommends itself to the wise by the fact that its mimic battles are fought for no prize but honor. it is eminently and emphatically the philosophers’ game” says Paul Morphy.

Chess makes the man wiser. It makes a mad person sane. It raises your IQ level. It Improves memory, also increases creativity and concentration.

All the above activities will definitely aid to calm you down and advantageous for learning capabilities. Not just these mentioned above but could read a book, redecorate your living area by changing curtains, making wall art changing the direction of your furniture or cleaning and setting up a place for praying, etc.

Everybody is frustrated sitting at home, missing their routine chores but why not make it worthwhile?
