November recorded as the hottest month on record

Last month was the hottest November on record, EU scientists report. Researchers say 2020 is likely one of the warmest years ever. The 5 hottest years on record have all happened since 2015.

Scientists have linked most, if not all, of the global warming in recent decades to human emissions of greenhouse gases.

The new numbers come from the Copernicus Climate Change Service, a program of the European Commission, which is the first of several temperature tracking agencies to report temperature data for November and the first 11 months of the year.
