MQM, 292 other organisations allowed to collect hides on Eid-ul-Azha

KARACHI (Staff Report) – As many as two hundred and ninety three organisation have been allowed to collect hides of sacrificial animals on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha this year.

According to Karachi Commissioner Shoaib Siddiqui Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Jamat-e-Islami (JI), Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD), Jamiat Ulam-e-Islam (JUI) and Sunni Tehreek are among the organisations allowed to gather hides at approved collection centers.

Other organisations included religious seminaries and Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) involved with different welfare projects in the country.

According to a code of conduct hides cannot be collected in Karachi in door to door campaign but only approved collection centers will gather hides after a formal process.

The law enforcement agencies (LEAs) have specially been tasked to ensure that none of the banned outfits collects hides of sacrificial animals this Eid-ul-Azha.
