KARACHI (Staff Report) – The Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) has refused to participate in the upcoming Asia Cup for the blind that is scheduled to be held in the Indian city of Kochi.
The decision has been taken following the recent attacks and threats by Hindu extremist party Shiv Sena across India.
The PBCC Chairman Sultan Shah told newsmen that it was not feasible to send the team to India under the current situation.
The Asia Cup for the blind is scheduled to take place from January 17-24 next year.
Earlier this week the Shiv Sena workers attacked BCCI headqurters while Pakistan Cricket Board chief Shehryar Khan reached to there to hold a meeting with Indian cricket board head.
Pakistani umpire Aleem Dar and Commentators, Shoaib Akhtar and Wasim Akram, were also withdrawn from ongoing India-South Africa ODI series.
