PERTH (Staff Report) – Australian pacer Mitchell Johnson has announced to say good bye to international cricket with the end of ongoing Test game against New Zealand in Perth cricket stadium.
In a statement the fast bowler said that he considers himself a lucky for having such a good time in the field and he enjoyed every single moment of career representing Australia.
“This is a best time to say good bye to international cricket as I have given enough thought to the decision, I am not sure of my consistent performance required to wear the baggy green,” he said.
The 34-years-old cricketer is Australia’s fourth highest wicket-taker with 310 wickets, just after Shane Warne, Glan McGrath and Denis Lillee.
