Pakistan, India to play cricket series in Sri Lanka in December: Report

DUBAI (Web Desk) – After months-long dialogue process and multiple meetings, Pakistani and Indian cricket boards have agreed to play a cricket series, which was originally scheduled in Dubai, in Sri Lanka.

According to s report of BBC, the development surfaced during the Sunday’s meeting between Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shaharyar Khan and Board for Cricket Control in India (BCCI) Shashank Mahohar in International Cricket Council (ICC) headquarters in Dubai.

The report further added that Indian cricket board will now seek a permission from New Delhi government, which will be followed by a formal announcement of the cricket series between two countries.

Meanwhile other media reports suggest that meeting among Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Chairman of England and Wales Cricket Board Giles Clarke had ended without any major breakthrough.

During the meeting, Pakistani cricket chief categorically refused to play anywhere with out while striving to play series in Dubai.

Giles Clarke, who was playing a mediator’s role between both cricket boards, is expected to speak to a media conference in this regard on Monday.

Meanwhile Najam Sethi, who is top member of PSB’s board of governors, has been quoted in media reports saying as “meeting was not failed and still there are chances of series between India and Pakistan.”
