Babar Azam should be dropped from Pakistan team: Zaheer Abbas

Babar Azam Should Be Dropped From Pakistan Team Zaheer Abbas

Legendary former cricketer Zaheer Abbas has called for Babar Azam to be dropped from the team.

Following a poor performance in the recent Test match against Bangladesh, Babar Azam is facing criticism from fans and former cricketers.

During the 100th episode of an international cricket talk show, Zaheer Abbas discussed Babar Azam’s performance, stating, “Babar Azam should be dropped from the team.”

The former cricketer, often referred to as the Asian Bradman, said, “If Babar is not making runs, he is one of our key batsmen. If he is out of form, he should be removed from the team.”

Pakistan faced a historic defeat, with Bangladesh achieving a whitewash in a Test series for the first time.

Furthermore, Zaheer Abbas dismissed comparisons between Babar and Indian cricketer Virat Kohli, stating that such comparisons are baseless.

Zaheer Abbas remarked, “Comparing Virat and Babar is meaningless. Virat scores runs in every match, while Babar does not score runs in every match, so how can you compare the two?”

It’s noteworthy that Zaheer Abbas’s comments about Babar arose after his poor performance against Bangladesh, where Babar scored 0, 22, 11, and 31 runs in four innings, leading to Pakistan’s defeat in the series.

Due to his underperformance, Babar Azam has also fallen out of the top 10 batters ranking for the first time in several years.

Will Indian team arrive in Pakistan for ICC Champions Trophy?
