KOLKATA (Web Desk) – Afghanistan fought hard and the match looked a risky contest.
It looks till the last three overs but an excellent return to form by Tillakaratne Dilshan (83*) outdid the efforts of captain Asghar Stanikzai (62).
There were handy contributions from Samiullah Shinwari (31), who went after the bowlers to take score to 153 for 7.
Sri Lankans were always on track with the chase, and the target was always within sight.
There weren’t many other contributors to the Sri Lankan batting.
The Afghani fielding was terrible. There were several occasions where they gave away boundaries through misfields.
Dilshan has been awarded as the Man of the Match for his brilliant batting performance.
