WASHINGTON (Staff Report) – Democrat presidential contestant Bernie Sander won two more states as Washington, Alaska and Hawaii went for primary polls on Saturday.
According to media reports, Sanders won Alaska with 81.6% votes while he clinched victory in Washington as well with 72.6% votes. The result of third state, Hawaii, is yet to be finalised.
Following the Saturday’s results Bernie Sanders has just thinned Hillary Clinton’s major lead. However Hillary is still around 200 ahead of him. Sander needs to win over 1300Â of remaining 2077 delegates to earn nomination for presidential polls 2016.
On the Republicans side, Donald Trump is far ahead of two other contestants. He needs another 500 delegates out of remaining 944 delegates to win party’s nomination.
