VIDEO: Sharjeel Khan says he is being blackmailed with fake videos

HYDERABAD (Staff Report) – Pakistan’s opening batsman Sharjeel Khan has been targeted by unidentified blackmailers threatenomg to release his personal videos on social media.

The extortionists have demanded two hundred thousand rupees from the cricketer.

In a video message posted on Twitter, Sharjeel Khan said: “I have been receiving threatening calls for the last few days. These guys are demanding money and have threatened to upload fake videos of me on social media.

“I thought I should bring this into your knowledge that all such videos are fake. There is no such thing. They are just trying to malign my name.”

However, sports analysts say the young cricketer, who holds a central contract, should have reported the threats to Pakistan Cricket Board and police before releasing a video on social media.

Police reached the house of Sharjeel Khan in Hyderabad on Thursday morning and collected necessary information about the extortion calls.
