LAHORE – A fire erupted in the basement of a hotel in Lahore’s Gulberg area, injuring three individuals.
The fire, which started in the basement of the Indigo Heights Hotel and Restaurant, has reportedly been contained, and firefighting efforts are ongoing.
Punjab Chief Secretary Zahid Zaman said the fire was limited to the hotel’s basement. He confirmed that 180 people were safely rescued from the building, and no one remains inside at this moment.
One of the injured individuals was rushed to the hospital for treatment. The basement was reported to have a significant amount of water, which helped contain the spread of the fire.
Both Chief Secretary Zahid Zaman and Lahore Deputy Commissioner, Captain (r) Ali Ijaz, arrived at the scene to oversee rescue operations and provide assistance.
Authorities assured that the fire would be fully controlled soon.
The situation is under control, with continued efforts to ensure the safety of all involved.
