ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Pakistani seamer Muhammad Amir feels elated at rejoining the Pakistani team for the upcoming England tour after being banned for spot-fixing and feels that fixers should be banned for life.
Amir, who is part of the National team for the England tour, will be resuming his test career at the same Lord’s ground where the doors of international cricket were shut on him in 2010.

Talking to Associated Press before leaving for the England tour, the ecstatic Amir revealed his plans.
“To be honest, I never thought about my comeback and I feel seriously lucky to play Test cricket again. You call it a coincidence or whatever, but to me it is a blessing that I am starting right from where I stopped in 2010” he said.
“If fixing is still happening then it’s really alarming, I fully back that fixers should be banned for life,” Amir added.
Amir, who has braced himself for sledging, also hoped to perform outstandingly during the England tour.
“I can clearly see a big difference in my fitness levels and I am ready for the tour of England. My memory still holds those moments from 2010 but I want to perform well and get my name (on) the honor board at Lord’s once again,” he said.

Muhammad Amir was barred from international cricket after he bowled deliberate no-balls in lord’s test back in 2010. His alleged partners Muhammad Asif and Salman Butt were also sentenced to stern punishment. Amir is fortunate enough to be wearing green cap again as both Asif and Salman are still striving to regain position in National team.
