Pakistani social media personality Muhammad Ansar, popularly known as Mr Patloo, has drawn attention beyond TikTok after former cricket captain Wasim Akram recalled the enthusiastic reception he received at an event in Sharjah.
Speaking on Hasna Mana Hai, hosted by Tabish Hashmi, Akram described the audience’s response when Ansar appeared at the gathering. His account brought the TikToker’s popularity into discussion on mainstream television.
Ansar later expressed disappointment that Hashmi had not remembered his name while discussing the occasion. His response added to the conversation surrounding the programme and his appearance at the event.
A following built through livestreams
Ansar’s public activity centres on TikTok livestreaming, where he speaks with viewers, responds to comments and takes part in informal conversations.
The broadcasts allow audiences to interact with him directly. Clips from these sessions can also circulate beyond his followers, bringing his remarks and interactions to a wider audience.
While the Sharjah appearance attracted additional attention, livestreaming remains the main platform through which he connects with viewers.
Personal reflections on Parizaad
In a separate interview, Ansar spoke about the television drama Parizaad, starring Ahmed Ali Akbar, and drew parallels between aspects of his own experiences and the difficulties faced by its central character.
His comments offered a more personal perspective beyond the informal exchanges associated with his livestreams.
Ansar’s public profile reflects the growing overlap between social media and television, with moments from broadcasts, interviews and public appearances reaching audiences across platforms.
