Are you in love with a SOCIOPATH? Read on to find out

We all have been in love with people in our past, and there’s somebody who represents our future too. However, do you really know if your man happens to be a normal guy, or is he a ….Sociopath?!

Read on to find out.

Here are the top 11 RED FLAGS to look out for:

They have an oversized ego:

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders states that sociopaths have an inflated sense of self. They are narcissists to the extreme, and have a HUGE sense of entitlement. They tend to blame others for their failures too.

Exhibits manipulative behaviour:

A sociopath uses deceit and manipulation on a regular basis, because he just lies for the sake of lying. A sociopath will lie just to see whether he can trick people, and sometimes they tell larger lies to get larger effects.

They lack empathy:

A sociopath can’t imagine or feel the emotional worlds of other people, according to a diagnosed sociopath M.E. Thomas, also author of Confessions of a Sociopath. He states that empathy is ‘very foreign to them.’

They lack remorse or shame:

An anti-social personality disorder indicates that sociopaths lack remorse, guilt and shame.

They stay really calm in dangerous situations:

Sociopaths might not be anxious following a car accident, or fear when they see disturbing images. Sociopaths are eerily calm in tense situations.

They behave irresponsibly or with extreme impulsiveness:

Sociopaths bounce from goal to goal, and act on the spur of the moment, according to research. They can be irresponsible with their finances and obligations to other people.

Having no friends, or few friends:

Sociopaths tend to not have friends. Unless they need friends, they don’t connect with people. If they have people around them, they are superficially connected with them, suggests a research.

Sociopaths are ‘superficially’ charming:

Sociopaths can be very friendly and extremely charismatic, because they know it will help them get what they want. They are expert con artists and have their secret agendas. They are masters of disguise and acting is their main tool that keeps them from being discovered.

Living by the ‘pleasure principle’:

Sociopaths tend to do things if they feel good and they’re able to avoid the consequences of those things. They live their life in the fast lane; seeking stimulation, excitement and pleasure from where they can get it.

They show disregard for societal norms:

Sociopaths break rules because they don’t believe in society’s rules.

Sociopaths have ‘intense’ eyes:

Sociopaths can MAINTAIN uninterrupted eye contact. Their failure to look away is also perceived to be aggressive, and sometimes seductive, according to research.
