Governor Sindh Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui discharged from hospital

KARACHI –  Sindh Governor Justice (retd) Saeeduz Zaman Siddiqui was finally discharged on Thursday after spending 30 days there due to breathing complications.

The governor was admitted to a private hospital after complaining of breathing difficulties.

In a statement issued by the Governor House, Siddiqui thanked everyone who visited him in the hospital, and those who had prayed for his recovery.

The spokesperson of the Governor’s House said that Siddiqui is expected to resume his official duties from Friday (today). He remarked that he will also take part in meetings once he returns to work.

The 79-year-old Siddiqui was sworn in after Dr Eshratul Ebad was removed by the federal government after having served 14 years in office.

Some of the Governor’s pending tasks include ‘forced conversion bill’ and the ‘law on minority rights commission’. He is also expected to appoint vice chancellors of several universities.
