DELHI – The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday selected Virat Kohli as a new captain of the teams for T20 and One Day International, besides announcing the squads for both versions of the game.
Selection committee chief MSK Prasad announced that Kohli would be leading the 15-member Indian squad in ODIs and Twenty20s against England.
Yuvraj Singh has made a comeback in ODI team after a gap of nine months. Suresh Raina too has made a comeback in the T20 team.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni who resigned as India’s limited-overs captain has found places both in ODI and T20 teams.
Addressing the media, the selection committee chairman, MSK Prasad said, “We have selected the best possible team, which can give us the best possible result.”
