Military courts necessary to weed out terrorism: Fazlur Rehman

ISLAMABAD – Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman said on Friday that revival of military courts is essential to weed out terrorism.

He highlighted that all political parties were on one page in order to establish peaceful atmosphere in the country.

He reiterated that controversial words should not be made a part of the law, adding that pitting religion and politics against each other will not be beneficial for the country.

Fazl also expressed surprise over the Pakistan People’s Party’s stance of functioning the old draft of the document regarding military courts.

He further said that he did not expect anything good from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

Meanwhile, the session of parliamentary leaders in the special committee ended unproductively.
