PCB announces series schedule against Zimbabwe

LAHORE (Staff Report) – Pakistan Cricket Board on Thursday announced the schedule of Zimbabwe cricket team’s tour to Pakistan which is due to start from May 22.

PCB Chairman Sheharyar Khan, while talking to media, said the two T20 matches will be played on May 22 and 24 followed by three ODI matches on May 26, 29 and 31.

He stated that all of the matches are scheduled to be played in Qaddafi Stadium of Lahore.

He extended his hope the tour will resume international cricket inside Pakistan. He told the reporters that strict security arrangements will be made on the occasion.

Zimbabwe will be the first international team to visit Pakistan after the 2009 terrorist attack on Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore.

Strict security measures have been planned to ensure safety of the visiting team. A security team of Zimbabwe will arrive in Pakistan in the first week of May to observe the security measures.
