LAHORE – As the unofficial and unverified results of the by-polling at Lahore’s constituency NA-120 started unfolding with victory of Kulsoom Nawaz, rivals Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf took to Twitter to post their reactions.
Returning officer Mian Shaid Shahid while announcing unofficial results said that Kulsoom has secured victory by bagging 61,745 votes, while Dr Yasmin Rashid was the runner up with 47,099 votes.
Maryam Nawaz, daughter of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who run the campaign of her mother’s elections tweeted as saying, “Shukar Alhamdolillah a million times ! This was PMLN vs ALL !”.

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif also took to Twitter and extended congratulations to Begum Kulsoom Nawaz and appreciated the support of people.

PTI chief was also on Twitter after the results where he lauded the courage of his candidate Yasmin Rashid for fighting elections against incumbent government-backed PML-N.
