MQM-P leader killed in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD – Unknown assailants on Wednesday killed a leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) in Hyderabad.

Dr Naushad, an active head of a sector in Hyderabad, was targeted near his house on Hali Road when he was coming back home after leaving his children at school.

Locals informed the police regarding the incident after finding his body on the road. The body was shifted to Liaquat University Hospital for medical procedure.

The deceased activist was considered to be a close associate of party’s deputy convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui.

The investigation regarding the killing is underway.

The MQM-P had distanced itself from party founder Altaf Hussain and his London office following his inciting speech on August 22, 2016.
