LAHORE – Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Saturday ordered an inquiry into alleged corruption of 56 companies working under the Punjab government.
The chief has issued directions after the NAB received complaints regarding illegal appointments, uneven use of resources and misappropriation in the public limited companies of the PML-N led provincial government
Therefore, Iqbal has ordered NAB Lahore director general to initiate an investigation in order to trace the culprits.
The chief has further directed that no company should be stopped from working until the evidence against them was collected.
“They (companies) must be allowed to continue work until the evidence against them is gathered. All legal requirements should also be considered during the investigation,” said chairman NAB.
