Bata tenders apology for displaying sexist advertisement in Lahore

LAHORE – Global footwear giant Bata was compelled to issue an apology for one of its grossly inappropriate ‘sexist’ advertisement.

The shoe manufacturer came under fire on Saturday after a picture of one of its poster was uploaded on social media bearing line ‘Womanizer and comfortable with it’.

The advertisement was displayed at the renowned Packages shopping mall in Lahore but as soon as it caught the attention of social media buffs, the shoe maker was lampooned for such audacity.

Sensing the heat, Bata issued clarification and apologised for the mistake highlighting that the company valued sentiments of customers.

‘Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience you may have experienced in respect to the poster which was printed out of Pakistan and inadvertently displayed at our Packages Mall Outlet’ stated the clarification.

Let it be known that the the meaning of womanizer is: A man who engages in numerous casual sexual affairs with women.
