ISLAMABAD – Five members of a family and driver were killed after a car plunged into a deep gorge near Murree on Sunday, local media reported.
According to the police three young girls, their father and grandfather are among the deceased. The accident happened some 160 kilometres north of Abbottabad.
As the vehicle fell into the ravine, the villagers and rescue officials reached the site and recovered the bodies after hours long struggle.
The family members died on the spot, while the diver sustained serious injuries and was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Later, the drivers also succumbed to his injuries.
