Four TTP militants gunned down in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD – Four terrorists, said to have belonged to the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban, were shot dead Friday night during an exchange of gunfire in Faisalabad, a spokesperson for the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) said.

A total seven suspects were riding motorcycles when they were asked to stop by officials of the CTD, in response to which they opened fire.

While four alleged militants were killed by CTD’s retaliatory firing, three of their accomplices managed to escape arrest, the spokesperson stated.

Authorities revealed that weapons, as well as explosives worth 3 kilogrammes, were confiscated from the deceased terror suspects.

Heavy contingent of police have been called in the area to launch search operation to apprehend the accomplices of the killed terrorists.
