Indian teen beheaded by stalker outside school

BHOPAL – An Indian teenager girl was beheaded with a sword by an unidentified man outside her school on Thursday.

17-year-old girl identity as Pooja Panika was killed about 300 meters from her school in India’s district Madhya Pradesh.

“The accused ran up to her and allegedly hacked her neck thrice with a sword and after cutting through it, he then let the sword drop and ran away, Pooja died on the spot”, said a retired school teacher, who is the only eyewitness, according tO Times of India.

The parents of the girl have named Dalip Sahu, a known offender of the area as a suspect. Sahu according to the parents was stalking their daughter and a complaint to this effect was lodged by them against him in 2014.

“In 2014, the girl had filed a complaint of eve-teasing against Dilip and a criminal investigation was done on the matter,” according to a police official.

According to the police, Sahu has been detained and is being interrogated.
