ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has prepared its manifesto which will be announced on July 9th by party chairman Imran Khan.
Other main parties, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, have already launched their manifestos ahead of the general elections due later this month.
PTI, or the Pakistan Justice Movementm has launched its election campaign, with Khan holding rallies in different cities since last Sunday.
He kicked off his campaign from his hometown Mianwali where thousands of people turned up. Today, he is holding a massive gathering in Dir and Swat region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Earlier this week, the party announced its Digital Policy which focuses on creating job opportunities, eliminating corruption through e-governance and boosting country’s IT exports.
In a video message, Imran said his government would bring Pakistan’s IT exports on par with India which earns billions of rupees through software exports.

Imran Khan’s political fortunes have improved since PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif was removed as prime minister by the Supreme Court last year over undeclared assets.
The elder Sharif, who was disqualified from politics for life, now faces a verdict in an anti-corruption court Friday along with his daughter Maryam. The decision in the case, which concerns the purchase of luxury apartments in London, is hefty fine and 10-year term for the ex-PM and 7-year jail time for Maryam.
Nawaz Sharif, who heard the judgment in absentia, had requested on Wednesday that the authorities delay the verdict until he returns to Pakistan from London, where he is taking care of his ailing wife.
The 68-year-old has accused the military and courts of conspiring to oust him and using legal cases and intimidation to help Imran Khan’s PTI, accusations denied by the latter, the army and the judiciary.
Khan, 65, has portrayed the legal cases as a long-overdue corruption crackdown on the PML-N.
