Top PML-N leaders assemble at Adiala Jail to call on Nawaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD – The top brass of embattled Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz gathered at the Adiala Jail facility to meet the former premier Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar.

Senior leaders including former interior minister Ahsan Iqbal, former information minister Mariyam Aurangzeb, former foreign minister Khawaja Asif, Mussadiq Malik, Mushahid Hussain, Pervaiz Malik, Shaista Pervaiz and others arrived at the jail on Thursday to meet the supreme leader of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz.

Veteran politician Javed Hashmi is also among the ones who had wished to call on the former premier’s family who was sent behind bars in the Avenfield reference verdict by the accountability court.

The Adiala Jail administration permits meetings every Thursday, during which the imprisoned members of Sharif family can spend time with the visitors till 4 PM in the evening.

Earlier, the former premier was shifted to Pakistan Institute Of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for a brief medical checkup following which he went back to jail.

Meanwhile, the appeals against the decision of accountability court would be heard by the Islamabad High Court today.
