Five of a family killed in Faisalabad road mishap

FAISALABAD - At least five people were killed and two injured after a road accident near Dijkot Road in Faisalabad on Friday.

As per reports, a tractor trolley smashed into a passenger van near Kahna Bridge and as a result the van overturned.

Five persons died on the spot, while the five injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Faisalabad for medical treatment by the rescue officials.

Media reports suggests that the deceased individuals belong to the same family and were going to visit their relatives.

According to rescue officials, it was a head-on collision that has happened due to overspeeding.

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif taking notice of the incident has sought report from the authorities.

He also expressed grief over the lose of precious lives, besides ordering to provide best possible treatment to the injured.
