SHO among two police officials martyred in Charsadda

CHARSADDA - Two police personnel were martyred on Wednesday in a gun battle with smugglers in Charsadda.

As per reports, a police party headed by SHO Ayub Khan raided a hideout of smugglers in Majoki area of the city to recover illegal weapons.

As the police reached the site, the accused opened fire on the police officials in which SHO and another policeman Shah Hussain were killed while one official was wounded.

The injured has been shifted to the Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar for medical treatment.

A search operation has been launched in the area to trace the smugglers.
